Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! I hope your January thaw has arrived or is on the way, although I’ve seen lots of snow and ice in the news from the American southeast all the way to the UK; we in the coastal range of Oregon are seeing rainy days punctuated by fog and a bit of sun here and there. Cup of hot tea weather.
I’m using the Fountain Tarot this week. One of my mystical inner-work sort of Tarots. I think Carl Jung would have liked it. The team that put it together has a great vibe about them and the images are very dreamy but also easy to identify in the RWS Tarot system.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with another Knight, in this case Coins (we ended last week with the Knight of Swords). So, energies are still moving along in one direction or another. I see an offer of financial or other practical support being offered to our Queen of Wands for some adventure or project she has in mind. She is always infused with inspiration, and the Knight is providing some real-world backup. Look for a windfall or young person coming to help you start that new idea or take the lead on that new project.
By midweek, things come to a pause, because you need to make a decision on which direction you are going with this project (Two of Swords). The figure in the image has their eyes in the hood, and so cannot see, although they have faith, I think, in the power of the swords. You will need to decide where you want to go with this project or idea you have; maybe there is guidance in the rest of the draw.
Moving toward the end of the week, well, here we go! Looks like you will need to double your practical/financial support for this thing you are up to. You’ve received some from outside (the Knight of Coins), and now you may need to come up with your own bit (Two of Coins). Also, like the previous card, this is a Two, so the idea of making choices between options still resonates. The last card provides a mysterious end point to the week with the Hight Priestess. She’s got the knowledge hidden away in your intuition to make that choice as to what to do with your new resources. Breathe. Listen (to yourself, not others). Decide.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the need to make a decision, and to see clearly in order to do so (Two of Swords). So, throw back that hood and let’s see what’s up.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Well that practical gift from the Knight of Coins seems to be important to the High Priestess. I consider this a reinforcement to let you intuition be your guide and to be in reception mode for any help that comes to you this week.
The inner pair puts the Queen of Wands in control of the investment in whatever opportunity comes to you this week. She is definitely poised to take advantage and will likely advise you to invest in this project. Only two coins? Hah! The Queen can turn that into a thousand. Just follow that intuition from the High Priestess, and you will succeed. Decide!
