Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! I hope your January is shaping up nicely, and especially if you live along the East Coast of the USA, where I send above-freezing wishes and a quick recovery from the flooding and ice. I used to live in New England, and this combination of weather is something I’ve never encountered.
I love Kat Black’s Golden Tarot for down-to-earth advice for any time frame. Kat uses medieval artwork and has collaged a beautiful, clear, and consistent set of images for the Tarot.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with a burden to carry (Ten of Wands) and it looks like it might be a good time to ask for help with that (Two of Cups). Wands and Cups are a bit of a theme this week as you will see. Lots to do, but don’t forget to take care of yourself emotionally, in this case early in the week, find a partner to help you carry part of that load. You really don’t have to do everything yourself.
By midweek, you rock! The Seven of Wands indicates that your creative use of your talents (plus that lovely partnership you put together), will help you prevail over any challenges this week. Not easy, but you will get there.
Moving toward the end of the week, we’re done (The World)! St. Ursula (the lady in the painting) calls on us to make our mark in the world as a servant to humanity, and we will be rewarded with a sense of true accomplishment. Considering the cards before this one, The World seems to indicate a feeling of “all is well.” And the King of Cups at the end reinforces a sense of calm well-being, of being emotionally supported. So, do the work, get the help, and you’ll be looking at a successful end to the week. 🙂
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the Seven of Wands, which indicates success after facing some opposition to your goal.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. We have the King of Cups energy again (at the end instead of at the beginning), and also a somewhat negative card (Ten of Wands—not as disruptive as the Tower last week, though). In this case, I will interpret this as someone calm and collected reassuring you that taking care of your responsibilities will create good things in the long run, and that all will be well.
The inner pair shows us that your asking for help from a partner/friend (Two of Cups) will ensure success and a wonderful sense of completion (The World) for whatever you are working on this week.
Again the focus with the K of C and the Two of C is to make sure you ask for help in order to succeed.
