Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! We had snow the other day! Only a couple of inches max, and then it melted. Scuddy clouds and cold rain today punctuated by sun breaks. Definitely into that extra six weeks of winter here in the PNW of the USA.
I’m using the Llewellyn Tarot this week. No surprises or way-outness in this RWS-style deck, but I like the Welsh mythology and the water-colour mellowness.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Instead of the Queen energy from a couple of weeks ago, we have Page energy (newness, learning!) this week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with the need to make a commitment to a big project. The Seven of Cups says you may have been dabbling in different things, or feeling like you have too many choices; the Three of Wands, is saying to go for the biggest and riskiest one and get it out the door to see how it pans out. You can launch more than one thing, if you like, but get off your butt and into doing mode.
At midweek, the fist Page arrives. Time to clear out anything hidden here to make your plans more likely to work. Speak the truth and read that fine print carefully to make sure everything works. You may receive a message about something that could influence your plans; take heed.
Moving toward the end of the week, a much more positive Page arrives with his message of good feeling, optimism, and prospects for a successful invitation to move forward in whatever you want to do, especially if it involves partners or other supporters. Meanwhile, though, keep in mind that you have enough resources to do what needs doing, and that you can go ahead and use them to make this thing work (Four Pentacles). If you are too conservative, you may miss the opportunity (harking back to the Three of Wands from Monday/Tuesday).
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the warning to do all your research, read the fine print, and ask good questions in whatever endeavor you launch upon this week (Page of Swords). Be wary of promises that seem too good to be true.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Hmmm. Two cards that involve sitting still (Seven of Cups and Four of Pentacles), both with messages to not just sit around, but get on with things. Don’t get caught up in being overwhelmed by too many choices, and don’t be afraid to apply your material resources to this little gamble of yours. The warning of the Page of Swords notwithstanding, there is still a sense that waiting around and hanging on will not serve you.
The inner pair are your go cards. Again a Cups card, but this time coupled with the Three of Wands. Even though the middle Page of Swords signals caution, it doesn’t mean a no, necessarily. Look for a friendly supporter (Page of Cups) to bring good news that will allow you to launch your project (Three of Wands) with confidence after you do your due diligence, that is.
