Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! I saw that one of my UK buddies actually saw the sun yesterday morning. What a concept! We are having more gray days than sunny ones for April even over here in southwestern Oregon. But we could use the rain, since summer has hardly any of the wet stuff once it settle in. New moon in Aries today, according to my astrology friends, so catch on fire and get some new stuff going. Let’s see what my Tarot cards say about the week.
I’m using Ciro Marchetti’s Gilded Tarot Royale deck this week. Just love Ciro’s clear and colorful digital paintings and his Renaissance setting.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
We have an interesting balance of cards, with two Cups cards showing the only suit repetition.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with the support of the Queen of Cups. She seems to be saying goodbye to the Knight of Wands as he sets off on a new adventure. Calm, but concerned, probably, that our Knight of Wands will take too many risks. She also celebrates his creative energy and sends her love. Expect support for your creative project (remember the Aries Moon today!) from an empathetic source.
At midweek, it will be important to strike a balance between action and rest, I think. Justice says that you need to look at all facets of your activity to make sure that all of your energies are used and treated fairly. If that means taking a break from something hectic, it’s time. Or, if you’ve gotten stuck in the doldrums, get going enough to balance things out.
Moving toward the end of the week, you will need to make sure you are seeing all the options available (Two of Swords—take the blindfold wings off) so you can make a decision on what feeling to take from your activities of the week. It may seem like a chore to have to decide (Four of Cups), but go with your highest intuition to continue into next week.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the balanced scales of Justice. It’s going to be good to be actively creative this week, but also balance that out with a pause to assess your situation. Keep this balance thought in mind throughout the week.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Both Cups cards here. Note that if you placed them together, it looks like the Queen of Cups may be the one offering the extra cup to the young man in the Four of Cups. Don’t let feelings of stuck-ness or boredom keep you from moving when you need to. The Queen will be there to support your feelings and give you inspiration.
The inner cards present a bit of a contrast: The Knight of Wands is all decked out and ready to go, but the Two of Swords is still trying to decide what direction to go in. Note that the Two of Swords also showcases the energy of the Moon, which calls on intuition to act as a guide. But it’s still a good idea to take off any blindfolds to look around for intuitive clues. You will need to make a decision on your creative effort in order to get your Knight moving forward in the energetic way he likes to.
Find your direction, maintain your balance and move forward with emotional support this week. 🙂
