Taking this opportunity to get down on “HTML” my sense of what the Tarot suits symbolize for me that will be useful for readings, for establishing patterns. I have all these images in my head, but it’s time to make them concrete.
Wands (Fire)–creative, impulsive, launching into new projects, leading by inspiration, celebrating creating success, distracted, cheerful, unprepared, adventurous, focused on making a mark in the world, competing with others
Swords (Air)–witty, knowledgeable, intellectual, judgmental, clear-headed, controling, outspoken, critical, arrogant, objective, honest (sometimes to a fault), aloof, focused on solving problems, dealing with challenges, overcoming fears or being overwhelmed by them
Cups (Water)–moody, sympathetic, calm, passionate, sulky when crossed, sensitive, compassionate, intuitive, can be deceptive, spiritual, focused on relationships, loving and avoiding being hurt
Pentacles (Earth)–lazy, humorless, methodical, practical, loyal, stubborn, persistent, overcautious, focused on planting and harvesting, accumulating wealth and comfort
I consider myself deeply a Cups kind of person, focused on emotional qualities and relationships, wanting to avoid unpleasantries, but others would likely also find me very intellectual (Swords) and perhaps carrying some creative leadership (Wands) characteristics.
